Protest of the Physical

collective lovemusic

In «Protest of the Physical» the lovemusic collective presents an experience in four scenic images in which the performers' bodies are not merely tools for instrumental execution, but appear on stage as fully embodied physical presences. They are closely intertwined with the music and its physical demands, while at the same time functioning as a contrast to show how gestures influence our listening experience.
By involving artists from different disciplines in the creative process, questioning the role of the audience and using the body as an expressive means of communication, the collective also attempts to reclaim its position as unique stage performers rather than merely interchangeable «instrumentalists».
