gare des enfants

«S' zähni Gschichtli»

Since 2004, gare des enfants has been organising concerts and shows for curious ears aged 5 and above. From the outset, the aim was not simply to offer children's concerts, but above all to actively involve children in the performances, particularly in in-house productions.

In addition to its popular family concerts, gare des enfants runs Zähnigschichtli, a concert series especially for kindergarten children, in which 30 to 40 Basel kindergartens participate each year.

FRÄCHDÄCHS

A concert for kindergarden children to join in and dance along.

«Frächdächs» are a somewhat different kind of children's and family band. Isa Wiss, Markus Lauterburg, Hans-Peter Pfammatter and Luca Sisera all love and practise improvised music – which is why they are constantly reinventing their children's concert stories. The quartet led by singer Isa Wiss responds to the wishes of young and old audiences alike, and so Frächdächs are on the move in the blossoming landscapes of the imagination.

This interactive concert literally knows no age limits: together with the audience, it takes them on a journey of discovery into freely improvised musical stories. The soundscapes are created with toy piano, double bass, voice, drums, percussion, tongue drum, piano, synthesiser, rattle box and bell band.
