Anton Kiefer presents a selection of electronic compositions from the past two years, reflecting on themes such as isolation, fragility and numbness. The works are presented in a multichannel format, complemented by live elements and visuals.
«Braindump»
An audiovisual piece with fast changes, almost hyperpop-like sounds, and short video snippets that feel like doomscrolling. When too much happens at once, everything melts together in a blur, even the things that really matter.
«Piano Pieces»
An electroacoustic collection of pieces that look at the piano from different angles and explore the emotional value it can add to spaces.
«Isolation»
An electroacoustic piece about what you lose when focusing deeply on a passion, depicting a fragile state that is both beautiful and frightening.
«What Parents Are For / Not My Fault»
Two experimental pop songs dealing with the complexity of relationships between people and their connection to mental health.
As part of «ATTACCA – Festival für aktuelle Musik» at the FHNW Academy of Music in Basel, students from the fields of audio design, composition, open creation and contemporary music will present their current artistic projects. The programme includes original compositions, performances, improvisations and works by contemporary composers. The concerts will take place over several days in various formats and with different line-ups.
