What is there to argue about, if not taboos? What are artists supposed to do, if not push boundaries and respond to world events? Must music be political – or is it allowed simply to be beautiful? And what role does the audience play in all this? What can and is it willing to put up with?
With these questions, Gare du Nord aims to spark an exciting discussion as part of the «Sonic Boom» artist-in-residence programme and to explore the possibilities and limitations of the concert as a meeting place.
We are looking forward to an engaging, audience-focused panel discussion on the relationship between artists and their audience, concert culture and social dialogue. Musical interludes before and after the discussion will provide the backdrop to the event.
The invited guests will be announced shortly.
Presented by: Tobi Müller
Musical performances by, amongst others, Phoebe Bognár, Stefano Grasso, Fernando Manassero and Léo Collin
The event will take place at the Bar du Nord.
