At the start of the special edition of the Interfinity Festival on the themes of biodiversity and sustainability, «Le Sacre du Printemps», a pagan spring ritual, returns to the concert hall of the Gare du Nord. Igor Stravinsky's ballet music, which will be performed at the festival by pianists Denis Linnik and Claudio Martinez in a version for two pianos, is considered a revolutionary key composition of the 1910s. In addition to the expressive music and Vaslav Nijinsky's extraordinary choreography, which completely challenged the conventions of the time, the work's theme, set in pre-Christian Russia, also indirectly raised awareness of the nature-loving way of life of archaic ethnic groups when it premiered in 1913.
