«I Dreamt of Fire» is an immersive audiovisual performance set in the bureaucratic world of waiting rooms. Through digital simulation and hallucination, the work explores the palpable feelings of fear and uncertainty prevalent in the world today.
The performance mixes a soundscape of anxiety and tension with oscillating visual explorations, dreaming itself through a plethora of emotions to be ultimately accepted, and overcome. Fire has the power to consume and destroy, offering many reasons to be fearful. It can however, also be a symbol of light, passion, hope, warmth and new beginnings.
