Connectedness

In the new series the Concept Store Quartet wants to explore the dimensions of connectedness. It is generally defined as «the degree to which individuals experience the people and places in their lives as personally meaningful and important».
Three pieces that the program comprises of will lead to three personal approaches to human and social connections. Fernando Manassero's piece will talk about the subject of solitude and connecting with oneself. The piece by Andreas Eduardo Frank is full of jolly, witty jokes, however the question that it tries to answer refers to a difficult relationship between two people. Finally, the new piece by Arturo Corrales will be a continuation of the music idea of this latest expressive, energetic, angry and ecstatic piece, Alfaque rojo.
The idea for the project comes from the reflections on the primal need of belonging. Both the quartet and the composers of the program, although come from different ends of the world, are connected by Swiss contemporary culture, common friends circles and familiar networks.
