Tim Hodgkinson, Wang Lu & Schweizer Komponisten

The English multi-instrumentalist and composer Tim Hodgkinson has become known as an experimental rock and improvisation musician but has also written compositions for classical formations. In 2003, the Ensemble Phoenix Basel performed his quartet «Repulsion», which was released as a live recording on the Portrait CD («United Phoenix Records» 2004). His new work, which he wrote for the ensemble, will finally have its world premiere after six years. The programme will be complemented by composition commissions by the composers Leonardo Idrobo and Christophe Schiess.
