With «The Last of their Kin(d) – a speculative songbook of endangered species», Trio Accanto is launching a new project on a timeless topic in October 2025, together with pianist Stefan Wirth. Together with dramaturge Katinka Deecke, Trio Accanto has developed a songbook that is complemented by a video work by Georg Lendorff. Ten compositions by ten different composers give a voice to ten endangered animals. The diverse habitats of these species are reflected in the composers' different, sometimes contrasting aesthetic perspectives – with works by Georges Aperghis, Nik Bärtsch, Lilian Beidler, Annesley Black, Dahae Boo, Ezko Kikoutchi, Cécile Marti, Elnaz Seyedi, Nadir Vassena and Eric Wubbels.
Trio Accanto: Marcus Weiss (Saxofone), Stefan Wirth (Piano), Christian Dierstein, (Percussion); Katinka Deecke (Dramaturgy); Georg Lendorff (Video)
With works by Georges Aperghis, Nik Bärtsch, Lilian Beidler, Annesley Black, Dahae Boo, Ezko Kikoutchi, Cécile Marti, Elnaz Seyedi, Nadir Vassena and Eric Wubbels.
