Fritz Hauser, Frames Percussion and the KlangLab Ensemble present a concert evening as a multi-layered sound process in which the space becomes a membrane and the audience a sensor. The focus is on the work of the Swiss composer Fritz Hauser.
With «Drumvoice», Hauser recounts his musical autobiography, whilst «Timestretch», for nine percussionists, redefines the relationship between time, space and sound. Two world premieres take this exploration of contemporary percussion a step further: a cymbal trio by Fritz Hauser for KlangLab and a new percussion sextet by the Spanish composer and pianist Haize Lizarazu for Frames Percussion.
