«A novel about music that focuses entirely on sensory appearances, the glittering surface of things, the characters and their lies,» wrote «DIE ZEIT» about Alain Claude Sulzer’s novel «Aus den Fugen». The «FAZ» described it as «perfectly composed», whilst the «Tagesspiegel» called it «a highly entertaining, intelligent novel».
A host of characters set off for the long-awaited Berlin recital by the famous pianist Marek Olsberg. But the evening takes an unexpected turn. Olsberg himself thwarts all their plans with an unexpected decision, forcing those involved to make unforeseen choices.
Désirée Meiser and Alain Claude Sulzer present a reading version of this multi-voiced novel, specially adapted by the author himself. They are accompanied on the piano by Denis Linnik.
