Sounds Nice

«I’m all ears»

In parallel with Art Basel, Gare du Nord presents «Sounds Nice» for the very first time. The concert hall and the former restaurant will host a vibrant mix of performances, installations, and concerts. The programme is complemented by DJ sets and parties.

Among the projects featured as part of «Sounds Nice» is the immersive sound installation «I’m all ears» – a hybrid work combining happening, installation, and performance, transforming the concert hall in unexpected ways.

I’m all ears
This is happening, immersive sound installation, and performance all in one. A circle of loudspeakers frames the Gare du Nord concert hall. In the centre, a cloud of mist and fog surrounds a small beach bar with an ice cream stand and deckchairs. It is a space for lingering, listening, swaying, and dancing. Three performers accompany the guests, inviting the audience to explore different modes of listening and to engage with the music in new ways.

For «I’m all ears», Gare du Nord launched an open call, inviting regional artists to submit works for an impressive multichannel setup.
